Review of organic purchase

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the fruits and veggies that I did get at the organic coop last week.
It all looked really good and fresh, but most of it got too ripe being left out on the counter as I usually do with fruits. The fresh apricots were the tastiest of all the produce I ordered and bought. I think I'll need to buy less and eat it up faster next time because I don't want to see it go bad.
As for prices, I didn't pay more than what it would have been in the store for non-organic.
So, over all I am impressed, I just need to tweak my ordering and preserving a bit.
Hope this has been helpful to some one.

I follow Dr. Mercola on his web site and he says many veggies can be washed with a bleach solution and a person doesn't need to buy all organic. Glad u got a good price.

With the heat around here (Florida) I try not to buy too many fruits at one time unless I keep them in the fridge. I love buying organic. I am a member of the co-op here. It is a Hugh store of all kinds of things not just produce. It has a deli/restaurant and they cook up something different daily. They are expanding it and I am excited to see what it will look like when it is completed.
    Have a great day!

emoticon Apricots are a favourite of mine, so my mouth is watering just imagining how tasty they were.
Interesting to know that the prices weren't more than non-organic. Same price and better taste! Now that is a bargain!

That is great!! And you will notice the difference in the taste too. More flavor and it smells good, not spoiled like they smell in a store
