Burn Out! Vacation to the Rescue!

I've been taking a vacation not only from my life but from logging my food and my exercise on Sparkpeople. I keep a separate workout journal so I'm still keeping track of my workouts but the food journal was just burning me out and making me unhappy. I'm so tired of tracking everything that goes into my mouth even though it really does help with the weight loss. My goals these days have less to do with losing weight (although to lose 5 lbs would be nice) and more with keeping firm, being active, healthy and happy.

Just came back from a week in Northern California. Wine tasting and tooling around in a very nice car.

The hotel's gym was very good so I was able to get all my workouts in, plus a lot of extra walking to make up for all the wine drinking. I never get tired of wine country! It's so beautiful!

Now I'm back to work on the East Coast hoping for summer weather and yet another vacation!! July 4th can't get here soon enough!!

    Sounds like fun! Like you, I am done with the food tracker ( at least for right now,lol!). I am trying to eat mindfully and listen to when I am satisfied and not overeat. I also have decided that eating three small meals a day with a few small snacks is easier than six meals a day. this works best for me. Exercise is what is keeping me going but sometimes I lack motivation. Spin, running and an occasional ST session helps me tremendously.
