Wow, stayed on Atkins for almost 2 weeks and was doing okay, lost a few pounds, but can't take the lack of carbs. I felt pretty good at first but then the first sugar I had which was actually about 1 week into it, I got some free Atkins bars and after I ate one I went berserk and started craving carbs really bad, ended up blowing it eating a bowl of Cheerios. Too restrictive for me although I am going to stay away from simple carbs.

make it a part of your diet 2 days a week and the other 5 do the atkins ... some combo like that might help .... Roc

I don't think restrictive diets are a good way to go for just that reason.

Don't give up. Atkins is a great way to eat. You get food that taste so good on atkins and not things that have no taste. I mean who don't like a steak?eggs and bacon? chicken salad with ranch dressing? Plus atkins dose so much more for your health that weight loss if you give it time to work on those things.

The want for the carbs goes away and you will find that you can eat even less carbs with no problem at all. Things start to taste bad to you that use to taste good. I use to eat hard candy often not that very candy is so nasty tasting to me now. I love move butter pop corn. we went to the movies and I did not even like the way the pop corn smelled it was like cleaning polish of some kind.

I know at first it can be hard but you have to want to be healthy and weigh less bad enough to hang in there until you get pass the point of needing carbs so badly.
