Not a happy bunny!!

Monday, June 17, 2013

Got on my scales this morning to see I,d put on just over a pound. I was gutted!! I was ready to give up big time, got bread out of the freezer and was going to blow it big time. Now that I,ve calmed down a little I thought to myself, was I having correct portion sizes or going over!! I read a blog on here that mentioned being a bit obsessed with food and I will hold up my hand to admit this. I think I need to take a step back and really think about my attitude to food. I eat healthily 99% of the time and have cut down on alcohol so it just has to be the amounts I consume.
I constantly think what am I going to eat for my next meal!!! Sorry for going on a bit but I needed to get this out of my system. Enjoy your day emoticon

This is a process, and having set backs is often part of the process. Check in with yourself by measuring foods not just eyeballing it and timing your exercise not estimating how long you worked out. Alcohol is often a problem when it comes to living healthy, so continuing to wean yourself off will help you.

Also, remember that mucle has more mass than fat, so you could have lost fat and replaced it with leaner muscle and gained weight. Take your measurements and see if you've lost inches - you might be changing your body more than you realize. After all, many of the changes that occur by starting to live a healthier life are internal changes that you can't see.

I love your "just here for the food" sign. I know all the rules for healthy eating, buy the food, make it through most of the day, but can't make it through the evening. Portion control is a huge issue for me, as is planning the food and the next meal. Seeing an unfavorable number on the scale can ruin my whole day! So I totally empathize. The best times are when I get involved in something non-food that totally grabs my concentration so that's what I'm trying for. Good luck with your goals,
