Lovely Sunday!

Sunday, June 16, 2013

Today started off hot and humid, a sunny morning that promises a rainstorm later. Here in Florida, we learn that Summer usually means getting yardwork done in the morning because most likely, it will rain in the afternoon. I love it right after a rainstorm - everything is fresh and bright, even before the sun actually comes out!

And the garden is happy -

The hibiscus in the front yard is blooming again - the rain weighs down the blossoms, but they perk back up when the water evaporates. I need to find a nice spot in the yard for it soon.

It's in a small pot out front and I'm sure it's getting pot-bound. Somehow, I don't think moving it while it's in bloom is a good idea though.

Before the rain, I managed to mow the back yard, got the garden cultivated and weeded the front flower bed. All this by 11:00 a.m. - Jeese! You'd think I'd be thinner!

After a quick shower, I had a nice long lunch with a wonderful friend - We always have so much to talk about!

And home for bit of relaxing. Lovely sunday!

Sooo happy you had a nice weekend! You DO stay busy girlfriend! I often ask myself why I'm not thinner with all the crazy running around I do and the moving of furniture all over the gallery everytime something new comes in.

But...still the problem exists...so it's got to be that I'm not getting enough sustained exercise to get that heart rate up for a good long time.

I'm doing some research on kicking up the metabolism...I'll let you know how it goes.

Also too...stress is a HUGE holder on~er of fat stores..and we all know my stress levels over this stupid house situation are off the charts. Another conference scheduled for 6/20 @ 11 a.m. send up some positive prayers for us...gosh..we need em!
