I've been gone... (Obviously.)

Friday, June 14, 2013

Hey ladies. A couple of you have noticed I've been mostly MIA since April. I appreciate those who have checked in with me, it *really* means a lot.

Just after my run I hit a depressive time in my life. It just seemed like there was no end to it in sight. It took its toll. I've been on the mend emotionally and mentally and am trying to make a reappearance.

Also, I don't like my spark page. It doesn't represent 'me'. There needs to be a major overhaul of it.

So here is the two month recap:

>> I haven't gained any weight however it is obvious that a lot of my muscle is gone and there is now some "fluff" in it's place.

>> I've been bargaining to adjust my work hours. There should be now at least two days in the week where I can go for a run or at least a nice walk.

>> We've adopted a park in our area. It's not too far from us but it's wonderful to have a destination to go to and a reason to walk there :)

>> Mud Hero 5k is just over two months away and I am excited to get training again for that. I'm determined not to be terrified this time - and also to bring people with me. I'm looking forward to a cheering section.

>> I've been dedicating a lot of time to my children. "Spend more quality time with the girls" was a New Years Resolution that I made and I notice quickly when I haven't been keeping up with it.

>> I've become quite the bookworm. And strange books, too, like 18th Century Philosophers.

All of the kind words are appreciated, and hopefully this won't have to happen again. Here's to a Fresh Summer Start emoticon

I've sort of been in a slump and not on here as much either. Coasting through things on my end! Glad to hear you are, for the most part, alright and on the mend. Good to hear an update. Keep it up!
