Almost Friday

Made it to Thursday! That means tomorrow is Friday!
Still struggling with eating, or really I should call it grazing....I am hoping next week it will get better since my daughter will be home all day...We have big plans for the summer...arts and crafts, places to go and visit, we are going to try rock climbing with some friends, and she actually wants to try and learn spanish, so I figured we could tackle that together! As it happens we are taking a cruise in May with a stop in Cozumel and Costa Maya, so the thought of actually putting it to use, kind of excites her! I stunk at spanish is school, but thought I would give it a go....
I tried a new dvd today for my workout, called Above the Waist...I liked it in the fact that it was a minute on each exercise, so you could do it at a comfortable pace and not worry about getting all the reps in, just as many as you could do correctly in that minute, and it alternated between arm exercises and abs. I could also use either my band or weights. The lady who is the trainer is a bit annoying, at one point she said she was going to "watch us at home"...really???! But all in all, a good upper body workout. I will feel sore tomorrow...Then I did 10 minutes on the treadmill, a total of 5minutes walking and 5 jogging. Adds up to a half mile, which is okay...I dont really care for the treadmill, but felt like I needed to do a little more cardio. I do like switching my workout dvd's around and changing up my exercise...if I get bored, I know I will stop.
I need to find a lower body workout, that isnt all squats and lunges, especially lunges...I know they are effective, and I do some squats and plies in my kettlebell workouts, but it does start to hurt my knees. Lunges are the worst for me. Maybe this summer, my daughter and I will be able to do some active things, exercise without thinking its exercise....We are also taking a trip to Texas to visit family, and I am thinking I will pack my workout band, and try to squeeze in at least strength workouts.
Anyway, thats all for now. emoticon

How is the instructor going to "watch" you? That is just creepy. LOL. It is good to change your workout - not only is it a boredom buster, it also is a muscle confuser which may work to your benefit! When you go back to a dvd you haven't done for a few days, you may even see improvement in your endurance or strength.
Have a great trip and keep up the good work!
