My Hospital Stay

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

It all started around April 12, 2013. I was out in the truck with my hubby doing our thing and we were on our way to Laredo, Texas, when I started have a lot pain on my left side. It was a rough ride on me going to Laredo. Anyway, we arrived in Laredo, Texas on April 15, 2013 with so much pain that I was totally in pain. My hubby called for an ambulance that took me to the hospital. They ran so many tests on me that I thought that I was going to die. (figure 0f speech) Anyway, I found out that I was a Diabetic, had small pebble size gull stones and never did find out what was wrong with the pain in my left side.
I came home and found myself a family doctor and he got my started on insulin and I also found out at the doctor's office that I had high blood pressure and he put me on medication's for that too. Then on May 21, 2013 I started getting really sick and vomiting that I ended up in the ER Room on the hospital and was told that I had flu like sickness was sent home. The next day I was still vomiting and I called my doctor's office and the nurse practionor told me that I needed to go back out to the hospital because of the pain that I was having in my stomach. I went back out to the hospital and they ran more tests on me and come to find out I had a HERNIA that was the size of a softball and it had a tear in it and my bowels started growing through the hernia. So I ended up into Emergency Surgery and they took it out and now I am on the mend.
I have been eating healthier and have been losing weight even though my goals hasn't been worrying about losing weight right now. The only thing that bothers me is right now I am on strict orders that I cannot exercise while I am healing from my surgery. I am hoping to be back on those next week sometime......... emoticon

emoticon Glad you got the care you needed and you are on the mend. Wait to exercise until you get the clear from your physician, you do not want to do any damage and then start slow! You will tire very easily at first. So even if you just start walking for 5 or 10 minutes at a time to build up - that is enough. Welcome back!
