A friend that I work with was complaining because she wanted to lose weight but she didn't really want to put the work into it.
She didn't really want to cut back on what she likes to eat, such a chocolate and she didn't want to have to count calories and she really didn't want to exercise.
She said she was too tired, and that when she went home she wanted to relax.
With each thing that she said, I replied, it is a choice!
I told her that exercise actually will give you more energy.
You don't have to cut out all chocolate, but you also probably shouldn't eat 10 "small" pieces either.
You can eat what you want, you just have to figure out how much of everything you can eat.
I am not sure that I convinced her, but it is a choice.
It is a choice to be healthy.
It is a choice to get fit.
It is a choice to control as many things in your health as possible, for example, your blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and your weight.
It is a choice to pick the lower calorie food over the higher calorie food.
It is a choice to drink plenty of water.
Is it easy? No it is not.
But it is a choice.
I look at the pictures of me one year ago and I am glad that I made the right choice.
Some days I really wish I could order the everything omelet, or do I, am I just thinking it will taste better than the egg white, spinach, mushroom omelet with 2 pieces of turkey bacon that I had this morning. It probably doesn't, and I would not feel well after eating it either.
So it is always about choices.
What is your choice? If you are here, then you are obviously making some good choices!
We can do this everyone- Stay strong and make the right choice.
