Dealing with temptation is one of the most difficult parts about losing weight and becoming healthier. Some days, it seems like no matter what I do, I am unable to resist eating the extra cookie (sometimes the whole pack) or buying the chocolate chip muffin to go with my coffee even when I know that it isn't healthy for me. When I go onto the food tracker, some days I don't even put in the extra treats because of the extra guilt. However, not admitting to having over-indulged just makes it even harder to lose weight and improve my health. I've decided to be as honest as I possibly can with the food tracker and FORGIVE myself whenever I mess up, rather than beating myself up about it. I'm human. I'm allowed to mess up occasionally. Weight loss is a journey; it doesn't happen overnight. Thanks to Sparkpeople, though, I feel inspired to keep going instead of giving up. emoticon
