Tough times!!

I'm having such a tough time with this. I went on Atkin's and lost weight, but had no energy at all. I'm trying this out and I swear I can't stop cheating!! I had DQ twice in one week. And did I mention I can't add any hours in the day. After working full time and going to school full time and three very active kids, I can't find time. I'm at the baseball field every night till dark. I need some advice please!! I'm so not a morning person, but I think that's the only time to squeeze in time for exercise. Could somebody please help me with this.

    You're super busy not to mention your wedding coming up. But FELINEBETTER is right about baby steps and making small changes.
    I know we have all sorts of ecalendars on our phones or computer these days. But I strongly recommend getting a large printed calendar. Make a plan now and jot down (that's right with a pen/pencil) all those days that you're able to exercise until your awesome day in August. Include a daily walk. Even 10 min of daily walking will un-stress your brain and relax your body. After that, enter your exercises that you planned on our workout so you can determine how many calories you'll be burning. Make changes to your printed calendar if necessary. Then go according to plan that's on your calendar. Remember less calorie in and more calorie out. Plan your meals ahead of time. Don't have time? I don't recommend for long term but carry emergency nutritional bars so next time you see a DQ look the other way into your purse.
    The calendar has worked for me many times as basically what you're doing is a written contract for yourself. This will help focus so you won't panic and try to do everything last minute. Even if you won't reach your weight goal but your muscles will be all toned for that special day.

    Hi there and welcome to Spark! It sounds like you are feeling completely overwhelmed. The only way around that (in my humble opinion) is slow right down and start with little baby steps. For the first week that I joined Spark -- all I did was practise tracking all my food. I didn't change my diet at all, I just recorded everything I ate. I admit, at the beginning, that is a cumbersome thing but it only gets easier as you get going.

    Back to baby steps: Step one could be to just track your food and exercise. Remember - every little bit counts. If you walked to the bus stop or to the mail box -- write that down.

    Another baby step could be to just start drinking 8 glasses of water every day. The more water you drink - the fuller you feel and it helps to flush out your body.

    Another step could be eating a fruit (or 2 or 3) every day or:

    Eat at least one vegetable per day.(more is better in this case!)

    Stop eating fast food;

    Concentrate on eating healthy rather than losing weight. The weight loss happens.

    Commit to doing 10 minutes of movement every day. This could be walking, riding a bike, swimming -- but just start small at 10 minutes per day.

    Connect with other people on Spark for ideas, encouragement and knowledge.
