Sometimes I record my daily ponderings as simple truths and small victories. One of the first times I did this it was about activity. Simple Truth: Taking those steps out the door and maybe even the first 5-10 minutes has got to be the hardest part of getting up and moving. It would be so easy to sit there and make excuses and maybe take a nap. Just get up and put one fook in front of the other! Small Victory-When you get moving and complete 15, 20 30 minutes or more walking, jogging, whatever-oh my-it's more than a small victory-what a feeling, well worth that initial effort. I have to preach this sermon to myself a lot! 1984 days ago
I'm not sure where you live, but the weather here has been beautiful to walk in. If it's warm, look for a shaded path or school track to walk at. I like to walk a the track because I can start in lane 1 and after each lap I change lanes so I don't have to worry about my mind wondering to the music I'm listening to or... And I don't have to worry about running in to neighbors who want to stop me and chat. I hope you start and keep walking. 1984 days ago
