That's all I'm saying!

emoticon Everyone in my area, who can't get motivated, inspired, or has turned 'excuses' into an art form, should have burned their sofas, and come to Honeymoon Island yesterday to cheer on the Dunedin Triathlon athletes! I'm gonna blog this one out in the next few days.

emoticonMy good friend and Dunedin Triathlon Race Director yesterday made this announcement at least 3 times during the day. Here's the skinny of it all. "Volunteer to work at least one run or multisport event every year!" Whether you're a regular participant or a spectator, you should do it for all the right reasons. Pay it Forward. I've seen volunteers become first time participants who never thought they would do an event. Ask anyone who has been a group pacer, race marshal, water station crew member or any event position. The experience can be the "spark" you needed. And when you do work, perform to give the best registrant experience!

emoticon IF you are still believing, or worse, regurgitating the bad health and "diet" secrets which you've heard from your best friend's mother's sister's ex-husband's auto shop mechanic, STOP! Get educated! It's 2013, people! AND, it's so easy to do right here on SP! From the starting block, start doing your SparkPoints daily! The resources here will give you up-to-date info to help you achieve your goals and maintain on the journey.

emoticon Don't let anyone or anything stop you from achieving your goals! You've got to fly with the eagles! If your "friend" doesn't support you in your efforts and tries to guilt you because of it, then you have a choice. Fail or succeed! There's no gray area here!

emoticon If you feel alone on the journey, find a Spark Team, especially a local area one, that interests you, and get active in the forums. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I know there's a new BFF waiting for you!

emoticonI've seen a lot of friends mention frustration hitting plateaus lately. It's a normal road bump on the journey. We all hit it, accept it, and work through it. This is no stinkin' diet! (I hate that word!) It's a lifestyle! We need to focus on being healthy. Don't use it as an excuse to quit! Quitting is not in my vocabulary. It's a waste of my time and effort. Stay the warrior!

I truly care! Much love...
