S.M.A.R.T. Goals

Sunday, June 09, 2013

I definitely need to get back into my workout routine. I was doing so well, getting up early every morning without complaints. I plan on trying to get in 20-30 at least 5 times a week at first, no matter what time during the day. Then hopefully I can move my workouts to mornings as I tend to get them done consistently when I do them in the mornings. I want to start this week or next week on that goal. And hopefully by the end of the round I will be back to working out every morning without fail!

I also want to work on my binge-eating issue. I have determined that I do in fact have an issue, which is the first step. I have found a couple of books that I am hoping will help out. I am also going to work on a step program where at first I at least catch myself while eating and try to figure out why I am doing it, then get myself to stop. Then hopefully once I succeed with that step I can stop myself before I start and think about why I am reaching for the food. Then hopefully once I have done that and the next time I am feeling a certain way that would lead me to food, I can come up with another way to deal with how I am feeling. Although the books may give me some other way to deal, I at least have a starting point.

I also want to hit my personal weight loss goal for the challenge. If I do that I will be on track to hitting my ultimate goal by my 44th birthday. My goal is attainable, as I want to lose 16 pounds in 12 weeks. That is less than 1.5 pounds per week. I plan on doing this by following a healthy food plan, getting back into my exercise routine and working on my binge-eating. I will participate in all the WEC, TNTs and LCWs and post on my team thread.

In working on all these goals, I will become a healthy person both inside and out!

I say start this week rather than next on your exercise goal emoticon and text me when it's completed.

I'm glad to hear you've determined you're a binge eater, that's a huge first step. I know it's a tough one to control but you have more willpower and determination than most people I know. emoticon

If I can help you in any way let me know, I'm here for you.
