howdy kids

sorry i've been absent for a while. working too much, sleeping to little and my muse has been silent. but she spoke to me today. just a whisper, but enough to be heard.

i've got friend who's having a crisis right now. we've all got them. some are more profound then others. but to each of us no matter how trivial it might be, to some people its a mountain to that person.

we're all here for the same reason. we want to get healthy. we want to stay healthy. we're in need of support. we need a lifeline or someone to reach out to in a time of trouble to pull us through. i know i've got a few of you i try to talk to everyday just to let you know you got someone pulling for you. i might not get to do it everyday. sometimes this site turns into a second job and i realize i'm neglecting my daughter and i have to step back for a day or 2. but i still check in and see who's doing what.

but i have one friend in particular i talk to multiple times through the course of the day. and right now she's in a crisis mode. she's plateud. she's been kicking butt and now she's stalled. i tell her it's ok. it happens. i'm there now. if you've been following my feed you know i'm up every morning and out the door on a run. 3-4 miles every day. eating my veggies. 18000 steps a day and 25+ stairs a day. no weight movement. why. fat turning to muscle. muscle weighs more than fat. you reach a point in all weight lose routines where you hit the wall. at this point you go by the clothes test. tight or loose. hers are loose. AWEOME!! so i tell her it's all good and that i'm very proud of her for all the hard work she's put in. i'm proud of all the hard work all my family has put in (Joanne, Shelly, Katie, Dave, Ashley, Paulette, Liz-y'all know who you are).

so the title her is momentum. Y'all know what i always say. one step becomes 2 steps, 2 steps leads to walking, that leads to momentum and when you have momentum you can become unstoppable. saw that in a fortune cookie. okay, actually i made it up a while back because i thought it sounded mystical and cool. so guess what i found today

Momentum can be difficult to establish. And that's what makes it so valuable.
Because once you have it going in your favor, momentum can be hard to stop. With momentum on your side, small efforts can bring big results, and those big results can lead to even bigger ones.
Yes, momentum takes some effort and commitment to put into motion. And it is very much worth the trouble.
Take the time and make the effort to start something positive. Even though, in the short term, it would be easier and more comfortable to just do nothing, look past those immediate concerns.
Look ahead to that point where momentum kicks in, and consider the value of putting it to work in your favor. Then get up, get going, and get to work on building that momentum.
Start something positive, and create some valuable momentum. You'll be able to ride that momentum as far as you can imagine.
