I don't like the sun.

Thursday, June 06, 2013

I've discovered a lot of things about myself during my year on SP, but this is possibly the most unexpected. I do not like sunny weather.
Not because I'm emo (the rain reflects the endless well of sadness in my soul...), but because every workout for the last week has been absolute murder. On my run this evening even my wrists were sweating. I didn't know wrists COULD sweat!
Then there's the feeling that I'm breathing pea soup rather than air. For someone who used to have panic attacks, that feeling is a little more than I can handle.
While I was running the thought actually crossed my mind: I wish it would rain.
Who thought I would ever be wishing that?

I love the sun. But the humidity with no breeze while exercising is torture.

Having had Lyla for 8 hours in the rainey icky weather and both of us being absolutely bats by 5 pm I want my sun back. Perhaps we can work out some sort of a trade....I wish. I don't know what the weather is supposed to do today, but Lyla is coming again (may be here now, I'm typing fast) I am sure hoping for a chance to get her little tush outside and run around for a little while at least.

Yep that's her, let the games begin!!!!

I wish I could send some of our cold, rainy weather your way! I am waiting for the sun so I can add some swimming to my workouts. emoticon

Exercising with hot and sunny weather can be a torture!
Sometimes I miss raining, too, but I keep reminding to myself how much I'm gonna miss the sun in winter...

Do you have access to a gym that has a walking/running track? Do you own a treadmill? I do mine in the house, walking not running. But I know you can run on a treadmill.
