Another Hard Lesson :(

Thursday, June 06, 2013

This is another BUSY week! Graduation activities, softball recognition events, 6 months of work stuff crammed into the last few weeks of the 1st half of the year.

Had a bunch food / eating successes emoticon

and a few stumbles emoticon

Was busy doing errands all weekend, so I took care to keep up with my eating 'routines' (at least in the morning) and made sure to bring my 'purse foods' (almonds & cheese sticks). emoticon

My problem was when I got home, I was exhausted and my will power/common sense went out the window. My dd was eating bunny tracks ice cream. Now 'normally' that doesn't bother me at all and when I do get a craving, I eat a frozen Greek yogurt on a stick (I like Yoplait brand). Unfortunately for me, I hadn't gone shopping for 'my go-to foods' and we were out. emoticon

So I thought I'd just have a 'taste'. Well we all know where that went.... emoticon

I ate it bite by bite until I got a tummy ache, threw up and had to go to bed for the nite. emoticon

I REALLY NEED to make sure I take care of myself: DONT get worn out and MAKE SURE my go-to foods are well stocked!!!

Those things happen to all of us at one time or another. Food issues do not go away with surgery just lay dormant for a short time. When I find a food that I cannot resist I try to make certain it is not in the house!
Is there an ice cream type treat that your child likes but you do not? If so maybe you can get that for her and keep the tempting food out of the house.
