Last night I had an unusual non scale victory (NSV). This time, it didn't involve me but I count it as mine, just the same.

My daughter came with me to my hip hop class (similar to Zumba) last night! She sees how I love going to my exercise classes. I've asked her before if she wanted to accompnay me and she always has said no. I mentioned to her that one of the songs we do is a song she really likes so she started getting curious and asking me after each class how it was, what songs we did, etc. I let her know how the classes go, if I struggled, any unusual occurrences, etc. I also have let her know when other moms sometimes bring their daughters. Last night she voluntarily asked if she could come. OF COURSE!

She loved it! She had a big old smile on her face and stood in the front row! She made it through the whole thing, which surprised me. She asked me this morning if she could go again tonight. I am beyond tickled.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Sorry to hear you have intolerance to lactose It's a pain in the gutt! LOL Hope you are doing well on your program! It's an up hill battle and as Miley sings " Every step I'm taking, Every move I make feels, Lost with no direction, My faith is shaking, But I gotta keep trying, Gotta keep my head held high, There's always gonna be another mountain, I'm always gonna wanna make it move, Always gonna be a uphill battle, Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose, Ain't about how fast I get there... Ain't about what's waiting on the other side.....
    It's the climb" emoticon

This is awesome and the other benefit is you have someone to team with for fitness that will also keep you engaged in doing it. Everyone says it is easier with a partner to keep you accountable - so this is a win from every direction for you (and her). emoticon

That is fantastic! Very excited, just hope she continues to do it. I wish my daughter would be interested in my fitness. She has avoided exercise like the plague except she does do Karate. They bust her butt according to her!!.

They encourage kids to do 60 min of exercise per day. I doubt there are very many kids who measure up to that level.

Thanks for the beano advice., supposidly the enzymes are the problem, soo that might be the trick. I do eat a lot of fiber. I might just try it. I'm seeing a doctor next week but it would be nice if it went away before that time. I hate medical tests, especially GI. The last time I had a colonoscopy I felt like I was dying, it was soo repulsive.

Glad you are doing better, hang in there and keep that sweet girl going with you!

That is so amazingly awesome! Don't you just love it when they get good habits from you?!?!? So glad she liked it - and you like it to!

Perhaps a start of something new - another Mother/Daughter special moment! Congrats!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! This is so awesome! I'm so happy she said yes and loved it enough to go back. I can't wait for my daughter to be older so we can do classes somewhere together. Last night when I did the DVD it was VERY cute to see her shaking her butt to do the samba. LOL But after a while she got bored and just wanted to run in between my legs so I got super frustrated. Point is at least they see us modeling healthy behavior and will grow up with that in their minds as being part of an active life. I love my mom but she def didn't pass that on to me. So I know how meaningful this NSV was to you :)
