I did not feel my heart was into my Weight Loss Program and saw many inconsistencies which was very discouraging.

Joined Two challenges with the hopes that in addition to reporting to my wonderful buddy on a daily basis I will be even more committed to my weight loss and movement toward a healthy lifestyle.

My thoughts are that even if I don't feel it now I will act as if...... until the healthy habits and putting me first feel natural and good to me. I will let you know how it works.

They say "IF YOUR TIRED OF STARTING OVER STOP GIVING UP" Never quite thought of it that way and thinking of being someone who gives up does not sit well with me so I am about to see what I can do about

Great suggestions & support here! I agree - we all have our ups and downs, but giving up is not an option. Act As If you are already the healthy weight and health you want to be, What would that feel, smell, look, taste like? See the vision so clearly in your mind until the inner and outer are the same. Love the great responses people have shared with you! I'm thinking that you are focusing on all the right things and will get the job done!! We all can do it, that much I know, so just keep on acting like you're motivated and do the things you can for each day! It will come. Jill said it well, too...imagine where we'd be if we hadn't at least started and gotten some of the work done! Good luck, Friend!!! emoticon emoticon

Hi Yvonne, I read through the responses to your blog and there were some great suggestions there such as think motivated and pretty soon you really will be. . .take one day at a time and if you're anything like me you'll still have your ups and downs but quitting has never been an option for me. Even though I'm still far from my healthy weight I'm closer now than I was 3 years ago. If I hadn't discovered Spark I think I would be 50 pounds heavier not thinner now. . .so take it slowly and focus on changing one doable thing for now. Baby Steps are the way to go at least for me. I know you will succeed at this it's just a matter of time before you're in the WL mode. Keep Sparking and Smiling.

    Love You,

YOU can do this - you are worth it. Good luck with your new strategies. I started joining some challenges in January and it has really REALLY helped me to focus and stay on track.

Yeah, sometimes when you loose your motivation it just plain s***s. I am glad that though you may be going through the motions still YOU ARE GOING! You are not giving up! You just seem stuck, but you keep on fighting! I am sure that though right now you do not feel that motivated, it will come back and then hardly anything will slow you down!

That is a good motto. The only way to fail is to quit, is another one I like. You seem to have pretty good sticking power. emoticon

Everyone hits those slumps in motivation! When I do, I find it helpful to remember that there is no such thing as falling off the wagon anymore for me... even if I have a slump or don't do what I'm supposed to, it's all part of this journey that will be the rest of my life!
You're exactly right though.... hang in there and act "as-if" you're motivated, and eventually your motivation WILL catch up to you!

My MAIN mantra: Fake it 'till you Make it! No lie - most of the time I have to MAKE myself do something....and keep making myself....and eventually the 'feelings' behind it come along! You can do this.........we got your back!! :-)
