Hiking, camping, and juicing (photos)

Got our first camping trip of the season out of the way!
We figured out, that we need a better list or a more cohesive family unit to get everything in the car - we forgot the tent, but had everything else! hahahaha!

We drove out base Carbondale to an amazing little secluded campground! No cell signal. Giant and lovely sigh!

We got up super early and headed out to do a hike that I have had on my bucket list for a while now - Hanging Lake! We were the second group on the hike and it was fabulous! Strenuous 1.2 miles up, but definitely a lovely ending!

After our hike, we slipped into the town of Glenwood Springs for a brunch (mmm, eggs benedict), then picked up some additional adult beverages and spent the afternoon chilling and playing uno!

We enjoyed the lack of internet, enjoyed each other company and took a little walk around the campground

It was a wonderful way to spend the weekend, full of fire pit cooking, smores and amazing sky nights full of stars!

All in all i thought my weight would continue to sky rocket, but i managed to lose a couple pounds with the hike and sitting around the camp fire!

This week, hubby and I are trying a day of 2 of "juicing" to see what it is like and to kick start our downward trend! I can have 10 eight ounce glasses today to get to 1500 calories for the day. It will be interesting to see my "calories, fat, carb" chat to see what a day of juice does to it!

Fingers crossed for a great day and week!~

Make it thru at least 1, maybe 2 days of juice
Keep up my workouts, without feeling tired or sluggish
Water - 90 ounces baby - let's do this!
Extra jaunt in the evening since there wont be any "dinner" prep or eat time!
