Still trying for that comeback

Monday, June 03, 2013

It's that time of year when I love to get outside and work/play in the yard. Having basically fallen off the wagon for the past couple of months, and trying desperately to find the inspiration to get back on, this is what I needed.

Last weekend I got my gardens in and worked like nobody's business. This past weekend was the same. Once I finished mowing my own lawn, I took care of a couple of neighbors' lawns as well, in order to avoid having to find another fitness outlet. The sun was out, the weather was cool and it was a perfect day. I greatly prefer getting my fitness from doing productive things than just working out for its own sake. Summers here are brief so any time outdoors is a blessing in its own right. There will be more today -- yay!

Sounds like my husband, while I was on the elliptical, he mowed our lawn and 2 of the neighbors and then went back out with the string trimmer. He wanted to get everyone's done before it rained again and knew one neighbor's Dad is very ill and the other was busy with 3 boys while his wife was at work.

I agree ...I would much rather see something finished that to walk and not go any where! emoticon

I agree.... being outside and getting in those fitness minutes doing things outdoors is the best.... so much better than spending time in the gym or countless hours on the treadmill!! emoticon I bet your neighbors are glad you want to be busy outside too!! They are reaping the benefits as well!! emoticon

Great idea! Soil is such good therapy. Another wonderful way to keep the hands busy and an idle mind distracted in beauty! emoticon
