Does competition give you an extra push?
I love competition. It gives me that extra motivation to row harder.

One 13 year old son and a 29 year old step-daughter

what's you're biggest temptation/excuse?
My biggest temptations are cravings/snacking.

Night Owl. I get everyone to bed and that is my quiet time.

Our beloved mini dachshund, Lucy Lu Lu. See my Spark Page of her swimming and riding the boogie board…she’s a hoot.

what do you fill your cart with?
I make a menu for two weeks and buy only what’s on my list. Fresh produce, fruit, chicken, fish, and way too much snack stuff!

where do you call home?
Our home is really Missouri, but we have been in North Central Texas for ten years.

I is for INSPIRE...
who or what is your role model/inspiration?
Currently my inspiration comes from my role models on SP, Moonbird and Indy Girl.

J is for JOB...
What do you do for a living?
I am a stay at home mom.

K is for KEEP IT SIMPLE...
What's your healthy focus when short on time?
I keep my food simple mostly veggies and fish.

L is for LOG...
Do you use the Nutrition and Fitness trackers?
I use them everyday. Actually, I depend on them to keep me honest with myself and to know where my caloric intake stands.

M is for MARRIED, Single, Involved?
Married, will celebrate 20 year anniversary in November.

N is for NAME...
What's the meaning behind your sparkname?

Tree is a nickname from my childhood. I grew so fast as a child that I was 5’8” at 11 years old. One of my friends nicknamed me tree because I was so tall. 57 is the year I was born…Yes, I’m getting up there, but hopefully not OUT there, if you know what I mean.

O is for OUNCES...
How many ounces of water do you consume on a daily basis?
I am a water hound. I drink approximately 240-288 ounces per day. I don’t drink any sodas, juices, alcohol, etc. Just filtered water.

P is for PRODUCE...
How many fruits and veggies do you consume daily?
On a pretty regular basis I consume 6-10 freggies a day.

R is for ROUTINE...
Average number of days and minutes you exercise weekly?
From August 2012 to April 2013, 3-4x week at 120-160 minutes per day. Surgery was April 3, 2013, so I am just now able to do modified exercise and swim.

What is your favorite pass time or hobby?
I love to read.

If you could travel anywhere, what destination would you choose?
I would return to Venice, Italy.

Do you follow a consistent ST program?
I did from August 2012 to April 2013. Have slowly started again.

X is for "X" MARKS THE SPOT...
What do you want to see happen these 12 weeks, other than the scale move?
The “spot” for me is to learn how to control my sugar/salt cravings.

Y is for YESTERDAY...
Do you dwell on poor choices or allow them to push you forward?
Oh, I have learned not to dwell on them, but to start fresh the next day.

Z is for ZERO...
Name one weight loss tool you couldn't live without?
I couldn’t live without the nutrition tracker. Before SP I used LoseIt, which is very similar.
