Marathon Training - Week 5

Well, I started out the week pretty good with a run on Tuesday of 4 miles, but, with the first heat wave of the season this week, that is where it stopped. I tried to go out on Thursday and lasted 1/4 mile and walked some before going home. Disappointing but, I know weeks will be like that. So, my goal was to make sure to at least get my long run in for the week which I did do today. Took my time, took some walk breaks and drank my water and I got in 6 miles today. Very pleased considering it was still very hot out today. Heat wave is over and more pleasant weather is on it's way so I will be able to manage my morning runs this week.
