Bring on June and Make it Sparktastic

First an update of my May goals:

1 I have focused on just getting back into a workout routine, which has been mostly cardio, I need to get strength training back into my routine - strength training 3 times a week

First couple weeks I only got 2 days in but the last few weeks 4 or more days, so on average I did 3 days a week. More important, I got strength training back in my routine emoticon

2 Go to the gym at work during lunch at least 3 out of 5 days if not 4.

I went to the gym during lunch 4 days a week every week except last week. Short week at work left no time for a lunch break.

3 Get up and run every Sat morning if it isn't raining (sorry, I draw the line at rain )

This was not a goal I met. Not even close. It has rained every single Sat morning for the month of May. I did run at the gym at least twice each week. Just didn't get out on Saturdays. I did get up most Sat and at least ride the stationary bike.

4 If we can get the registration swapped from some friends that can no longer participate - run a night 5K on 5/10

Ran the Rave Run Light Show with a coworker. This was a night run through an amusement park, very interesting. The course was only about 2.5 miles, but we ran it in 25:16, was very proud of that time.

5 Continue Preparing my lunches for the week each Sunday

Did this every week, yay me emoticon

I start a May challenge with my Parents of Preschoolers group tomorrow.

I got third place in points the first week, second place in point the third week, finals week results have not been posted yet. But I participated all four weeks.

I will be participating in the 5% Spring into Summer challenge which should start in the next couple weeks. I am going to rock this challenge like I did last Summer.

I am not doing as well in this challenge as I would have liked. The last two weeks in May really goofed me up. But I have lost 3.2 lbs or 1.8% so far. Still have 5.24 lbs to lose with 5 more weigh-ins. I got this :0)



Now for June:

I don't have any school in June, so that will be nice. But have a lot to get done around the house before my class in July. We are going camping for three nights Father's Day weekend. And I will be doing a Mommy & Me dance class with my 3 yr daughter. So will still be a busy month :o)

June Goals:

1 A HIIT workout challenge from SkinnyMoms - 4 days a week for 30 days

2 Go to the gym at work during lunch at least 3 out of 5 days if not 4.

3 Continue Preparing my lunches for the week each Sunday

4 I will be continuing to participating in the 5% Spring into Summer challenge.

    Though the last 2 weeks were stressful, it looks like you did the best you could given the circumstances.
