BFF and her Mom headed home this AM and I headed back to work. What a whirlwind! We worked hard. Painted our bedroom, bathrom, kitchen and eating nook and dining room and put border up in the eating area.... and survived my husbands helpfulness??? They are awesome! Hard workers! My husband tried to stay out of it...but Engineers can't help but want to supervise and control what is going on. He told me he put a level on the switch plates in our bedroom and made sure they were level when he put them back on. I'm like OK Great! At least he tried not to keep telling us how to do things...too much. He tries to be so perfect at everything nothing ever gets done. My friends rolled with it pretty well...things got strained a time or too...with him trying to correct how we were doing thing...but he READLLY tried hard. Then he comes back and shows us all our mistakes...but like I said he tried hard to stay away....and he did..OK.

Painting is nicely done...and now taking a little time cleaning and putting things back into place and de-cluttering what we don't preparation for the August wedding of my daughter!!!! We will get there...alot of the hard work is done....

Got to work and co-worker got called away on family emergency Her dad taken to hospital...when she got there her Mom had chest pains and she discovered her neice who lives there in a diabetic she has been stressed to the max...glad I'm back to work today!....I think!!!!

Your husband sounds like mine and my son. I leave the painting, fixing, building to them. My husband may be a perfectionist, but he keeps on top of it all. So the house and yard always look great. My friend envy his handiness with tools and call him first when they need something fixed. What drives me crazy is when my hubby and son talk in circles about a project. I can't follow more than 5 minutes. I find my daughter and talk teaching, school and children, much more my style of conversation. It must be a relief to have those big jobs finished so early and now you can focus on the details and little things until August and then just have FUN!

What a whirlwind of work - it must feel great to have so many "big" things done. I almost snorted when I read about the level on the light switch, but yeah, it would help wouldn't it?
