My closet is almost bare!

Thursday, May 30, 2013

O-M-G I have practically worn myself out trying on things in my closet and found that nothing fits right. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't go back in. Well, that left me in quite a predicament. NO CLOTHES!

So, I took my body with a boot cast on my right foot to KOHLS and tried on Bermuda shorts. Well, of course I started in the PLUS size department. Found a couple styles I liked, then on the way to the fitting room, I decided to look at the REGULAR size racks. I found the same shorts, but regular sized, so I took them into the fitting room.

UNBELIEVABLE! The Plus size were too big and bagged around my tummy area. The REGULAR size 16s actually fit and looked really nice. I haven't bought something off the rack in the regular Misses department in years. I was doing the WOO HOO Dance in the fitting room (even in my boot cast!)

So, the good shopper that I am, I bought three pairs (they were half price)! So now I have to find tops to got with.

This is very exciting to me. Even though I'm 55 years old, I don't want to look frumpy and most of the clothes for plus size are frumpy!

WOO HOO!

I have always noticed there there is a big jump to go from a size 18 down to a size 16. You did it! And in a nice pair of summer shorts. Nice to get back into fun clothes.

emoticon I am so proud of your success. I am straddling the line between regular and plus sizes right now but after a couple of crazy, busy months I've gotten off track. Your blog has helped me want to get back in the swing of things.

What a great encouragement to others you are! Thanks for sharing this. I am still on a plateau and expect to break down that barrier soon. One of the goals I have is to get into a size 10 somehow. (Right about now I'd just like to lose 1 lb.) So knowing that someone else broke a barrier -- and that was a big one girl -- is totally encouraging! Keep on dancing girl because you are so worth it! I share your joy today!
