Finishing Week 1 on Spark Solution

On my last day of Week 1, and it is going great so far. As I started the program I reduced my calorie target and increased my fitness minutes goals. I am loving the new recipes, and have all enthusiastic comments from the family, too (two teen boys and my hubby) about the new items on their plates. All the recipes so far have been easy to make and quite yummy. (However, I haven't followed the menus exactly as listed because I have rearranged the menu and the workouts to meet my changing schedule. But I've been hitting both the calorie and fitness minutes goals, and it's been easier than I expected.)

I downloaded the book to my iPad. Since I've mostly just read regular novels this way, I was at first frustrated with jumping back and forth between the text for week 1, the menus, and the workouts. But I am now figuring out how to use the imbedded links and the "back to ..." buttons and realize it is very easy and convenient to go back and forth. Also learned how to use search instead of the index to find the recipe I want. Technology CAN be my friend!

I also joined the Spark Solution team, so that now all of the recipes show up on my nutrition tracker. Sweet! So easy now to track it all! I am still trying to figure out whether I can save the recipes to my favorites or to recipe books, but haven't found that option yet. It might be that they don't want the recipes to become "public" when looking at someone else's cookbook, but I like to save recipes this way so I won't forget about any favorites. And so far, all that i've tried would be saved among my favorites!

Yesterday I received the bonus workout videos in the mail, but I have yet to try them out or get started on my 3 months free virtual trainer bonus. Look forward to trying out both!

Finishing week 1 and highly motivated to move into week 2. Whoo hoo!

    Oh, as soon as I get paid, I'm downloading the book. I think I bought it at one point, but sent it to the wrong address.

    I just started the Spark Coach
    It's good so far only two days
    When you put your recipes in your food tracker check the add to favorite and it saves it
    I'm starting over next Monday, I finished the 2 weeks but
    I missed a few recipes and want to try them all, most were awesome!

    I haven't bought it yet and plan to this week. The more I hear of it the more excited I am to get it! Everyone is giving it high praises! emoticon emoticon

    Hope you check back on my blog because I can't put a comment on your page. You have to join the team to see the recipes on your nutrition tracker. To join, go the link about the new book that is at the top of your start page. Then if you go to the GIFTS tab and scroll to the bottom, you'll see a link to click if you already purchased the book. Once you register there, all of the recipes will show on your nutrition tracker. I had to send an email to figure it out, but it's worth registering to be able to track the nutrition without inputting it all in yourself--and you'll get the free video and virtual trainer, too! I haven't tried the banana bread yet, but just ate the pork roast and mashed potatoes. Yum! Mashed potatoes without butter or milk, WHAT!? But honest, they were so tasty ... I put out butter for everyone else to add if they wanted, and nobody touched it!

    I've also joined the Spark Solution team but how do I find the recipes in my tracker? I'm about to make the Better Banana Bread and would love to put that in.
