OK, SO.....Here I am 'getting back up' again! MAY 2013
I have no idea where 2 years have gone. I just know I am in the fight, full force again. I am currently mid way through C25K and I am loving it! Who knew that running could be addictive. I am back to once again do what it takes to lose these inches and look splexy in my clothes.

I know what works -
1. A Healthy, well balanced diet. (within a calorie range based on fitness activity)
2. Tracking what you eat and drink.
3. Exercise - Cardio and Strength Training and staying active at other times.
4. Reduce Sugar and Salt intake.
5. Stay motivated to do all the above.

Now I wish someone could help me with number 5.

Thank you guys for your encouragement!!! U keep me motivated.

@NormaGail, C25K is a program (I use the App on my smartphone) that takes u from being a Couch potato to running a 5k race. It uses the Galloway method of alternating between walking and jogging. Each week as u build up your stamina and endurance you jog longer and longer without walking. I went from puffing through 90 seconds of straight Jogging in the early weeks to jogging as long as 20 minutes straight! No walking!
So theoretically, after 8 weeks I should, No! Scratch That. I WILL be able to Jog 30 minutes non stop. Then I will begin to work on my speed. It would be nice to have a respectable time when I run my first 5K.

Lemme tell u guys. If I can do it. It's possible for YOU to do it. And the most amazing thing is........Running is actually addictive!! And Enjoyable. Y did no one ever tell me?!? I find myself smiling during my run and stoked as I feel the pain move though my body from my lungs to chest to calves to inner thighs to my fave, the derrière. And I survive it and I know all those areas are getting toned and strengthened and I'm gaining muscles and losing inches.

This is the second time today that I have come across the C25K acronym and my curiosity is sparked - no pun intended! Congrats on hanging in there for 2 years and returning to the battle full force at this time - this is excellent! I love your list of things that work ~ I totally agree with you! Nutrition, exercise, and motivation are essential to our wellness journeys! In terms of motivation, I spend at least 30 minutes per day engaged in motivational activities, such as interacting on Spark People, reading resources, and journaling. I also pray and make sure to keep God with me on this journey. These strategies are working well for me with keeping me motivated and in the battle!

    Good Luck!
