Is THIS the Start of SUMMER, or What?

Friday, May 24, 2013

Okay, Memorial Weekend starts today, or tomorrow, if you start on Saturday morning! For so many, Friday afternoons means the "race is on!" What will we do? Ahum, let's see, refrigerator stocked with healthy foods, DONE! Grill cleaned, prept, or in "our case" just BOUGHT, house cleaned and straightened, DONE! Okay, so DH is out in the garage, putting our grill together....but he can manage that, thank goodness! PHEW! I am ready!

But wait, we are having "COMPANY!" Our relatives, that we normally go visit them, due to the fact, that they are somewhat handicapped, are coming to our home! I am very glad they are coming, of course, but knowing they have some limitations, I want to be prepared for them. They will be here for two full weeks, so just in case you do not hear from me.....again, I am still around, another big PHEW, goes in here!!!!!

Now to get you up to date with me...I have started a few "NEW CLASSES!" Monday and Wednesday evenings I started "WATER ZUMBA!" And I LOVE IT! Tuesday and Thursday, I still do Senior Aerobics, or Senior Swim. I still have "other Zumba Gold classes" that I COULD attend, but I am COMMITTED to at LEAST "Three Times" a week, "Four" even better! I still am working "my program," NOT DIETING, but working in LIFESTYLE CHANGES I can be COMMITTED TO FOR LIFE! For me, and I do mean, FOR ME, I wanted to be CONSISTENT. And, as I have said this before, "STUFF HAPPENS!" And when it does, let it! Go on, but keep going, keep working your program, what ever it may be FOR YOU!

I have KEPT the weight OFF! I am still "body sculpting" with exercise, and eating healthy. WhooHoo! My clothes are getting "smaller" which I still find it hard to believe, but FEEL IT, finally know it, and amazed of it all! The "numbers" are not moving, as quickly as I would like, of course, we all want that to happen....but THAT IS OKAY! My body is adjusting, my mind is acclamating to the "new and improved me" and I do not mean to sound vain, but it is so true!
So I will continue, day by day, step by step, and enjoying each moment.

One more thing, that is so important! This is the start of MEMORIAL DAY Weekend, so let us all reflect on our LOVED ONES. The men and women that gave their lives for US, to PROTECT and SERVE US, and to hopefully keep PEACE, LOVE, and HOPE for ALL.

Good for you keeping on track and keeping the weight off. The classes sound great. I will be trying a water zumba again before long if my friend and I decide to stop meeting at church for exercise during the summer or if I can get myself back into the gym for the evening session. Enjoy your company!
