I am finding it hard to eat healthier. It makes me feel like I am failing as a person. I feel tired all the time and I have no outside purpose besides myself. This is hard focusing on myself because I don't like what I see. emoticon

I know what you mean. It's one day at a time and you can do this! As you get healthier and you start to see results, you WILL be encouraged! You are worth it and you will feel so much better as you make it a habit to eat healthier. When I fall off the healthy eating wagon, the first thing that goes is my mood. I become despondent, mad, sad, hopeless and completely without energy. Keep your head up and keep on going! You got this! emoticon emoticon

Eating is what I have the most trouble with. A book I read talked about habits & how long it takes to make a habit whether it is good or bad. It suggested trying to change it in stages. With eating it suggested just starting with one meal or snack & for a month making that thing healthy everyday. After a month they suggested adding a second meal & doing the same thing. It did help me for a while & then i fall off the wagon (mainly because i'm a stress eater) but when things are getting out of control I go back to this & it does help me get it back under control. I also found if I started with breakfast I tended to eat a little healthier all day just because I didn't want to blow what I started. Hang in there!!! You are not alone!!!
