The Wheat Has to Go

This is ridiculous, it is 2:08 in the a.m. and I am up because my stomach is cutting up so badly and I know exactly what it was, it was the frosted mini wheats and probably all the crackers I had today. A few months ago I was on South Beach Phase 1 for 2 weeks and I didn't have all of this gas in my stomach. I think now that I am older I just can't handle it anymore, not to mention it's not good for my body anyways.

So starting today I'm giving up all of these wheat based foods and I'll go back to getting my sweets from fruit and what not, okay time to try and get some sleep.

    I went off of all gluten about 2 years ago. I had lots of stomach & digestive issues as well as migraines. It was very difficult at first but after a while I began to discover all kinds of ways to cook without it. It has made a huge difference for me and I don't have the terrible cramping that I used to have unless I get some gluten by accident. You will find many helpful recipes on-line for gluten free and is a great site. Let me know if you need suggestions. It will get better!

    There are some AMAZING recipies in The Wheat Belly Cookbook. I went gluten free at the end of March. Feeling soooo much better.

    Give it a try and see how your body reacts. You may have hit on something important for your menu planning. Keep up the good work!
