kinda disappointed

Monday, May 20, 2013

Well I weighed in today. I lost 5 pounds this week. I guess I should be happy with this, but I seriously worked my butt off this week and thought I would lose more than this. I have seen the scale fluctuate a bit the last few days. I think the thing that disappointed me the most was seeing the scale go from 252 a couple days ago back up to 255 this morning. Maybe I should stop weighing myself every day. I have worked really hard this week, I am very proud of myself. 5 whole pounds! That's a lot for one week! Hopefully I can at least match that next week.

Looks like thunderstorms today, I am thinking I may not be able to get out and take my walk today so I will allow myself extra time at the gym.

look who's a big boy now!

5 lbs in a week is excellent. You may also be shifting your weight a bit so you can lose inches. Take measurements, but I agree that weighing in every day may be too much because weight fluctuates so much. I know it's hard -- whenever I see my scale it calls my name, hahah. Also you may be building up your muscle if you have done strengthening. And as muscle weighs more than fat then you would retain that weight but it won't be fat. :)

Yes, weighing yourself everyday can make you depressed. And yes, I'm speaking from personal experience.
