New day to work on a new me.

Still having trouble with the right hip and back but it is time to get up and start moving and ignore the pain. I have another week yet before seeing doctor about it but have a renewed interest in getting my health back on track. The weekend was spent running around to graduation parties and going to the ceremony on Sunday. So great to see the kids that I have helped bring up thru the school system.

We are having the bad rain and flooding. The golf course is mostly under water now so hubby isn't to happy. The first baseball game is to be Tuesday night but doubt that is going to happen either. The tornadoes that hit were East of us. It is an interesting spring. Like my hubby said - where else but Iowa can you get all four seasons in two weeks.

I have found a site and joined to check out new recipes. One of interest is to take strawberries and put in Greek yogurt, spread out and put in freezer. Have to try that one. As I go along I will have to add some others on here.

My church circle is now reading a book "not a fan" by Kyle Idleman. It is on committed follower of Jesus. It is an interesting book and hope it will help me get my mind back on track for my health journey. I am an avid reader and would take any advice on other books to read to help me get me back on the right track.

So glad to hear the tornados missed you. Was watching on the weather channel and kept hoping this would not be too near to you. Sounds like you have made the right decision to move forward with a new spark. I like finding new recipes to try. A while back I started taking lemon greek yogurt and adding frozen blueberries to it....turns out that the berries almost freezes the yogurt and it's like eating a frozen dessert. Have a great day. emoticon emoticon

So glad to hear that you were spared by the tornadoes. I feel so badly for all of those people who lost their homes and everything! Fortunately, only one life was lost.
I'm glad you are getting your spark back. It is definitely very difficult to stay highly motivated all the time. I think searching out new recipes is a great idea. It keeps us from getting bored with the same old stuff. Would love it if you would share anything really good that you come across. I hope the sun shines on you soon. The forecast for us this week is mostly clouds and chance of thunderstorms every day!! We will make the best of it!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
