Thoughts on today's weigh in....

Sunday, May 19, 2013

I've been working hard all week - sticking to program so when I stepped on the scale and saw I lost one pound this week I was a little disappointed....only ONE pound!
Then I remembered this....

and it put it in better perspective for me so I went on to take my measurements - down a few inches almost all over my body - yay!

I know from prior experience that sometimes the scale doesn't move as much but then BAM! It will move so much that you keep stepping on it to make sure you are reading it right. I know that will happen...maybe next week, or the week after... but I know it will move. I also know the first 5 lbs were not water weight as I drink SO much water and I watch my sodium intake.

And most important to me today is that I feel healthier and I'm moving in the right direction.

is better than no loss.

Meanwhile my mantra for the upcoming week will be

but for today

Maybe I'll feel like exercising later but right now I'm enjoying a relaxing Sunday. I am tracking my food so I don't go over. I don't subscribe to "cheat" days because they don't work for me.

Have a fantastic day!!!

Progress is progress and a pound down is so much better than a pound up! Losing slowly and maintaining the loss is much better than too fast and falling off a too strict wagon!!

You've got the right attitude!! The inches are worth more than pounds at times...

And it's "ok" to take one day as a rest day - as a matter of fact it's good for your body. That's what I'm doing.
