First day down, and I'm pooped...but I did get a little cardio!

Got through my first day and it was a bit tiring - I spent all morning and much of the afternoon on my feet, and with my hip still hurting so that I limp everywhere and can't walk far/fast at all, it definitely wore me out a bit...but I still got on my stationary bike at home and cranked out 45 minutes before dinner! I wasn't planning to do any cardio today initially because I figured the first day at a new job would be tiring enough, but of course I still feel supremely guilty about not exercising every single day so I dragged out the bike anyway. I would have pedaled for longer but we were planning to go see Iron Man 3 so I didn't think I had time. Turns out, by the time we got to the theater there were only 5 seats left and so they'd all be way up front, according to the ticket salesperson, so we decided not to go. Instead we made our way over to a shopping/entertainment complex in the area that has a Barnes and Noble because my husband wanted to get a new Robin Hobb book. This same complex also has a big candy store, the kind where you buy whatever you want of various flavors of gummy things and licorice things and chocolate things in bulk, and we got a bunch of candy. I definitely had some, but my husband ate most of it. It was no Iron Man, but it was still a decently fun night out. We never go out to do anything. We are usually major homebodies. So it was a nice change.
But now I am plum tuckered out! Gonna sleep well tonight. :)
Hope everybody's weekend is off to a good start!
Side note: I got pooped on by a bird for the first time ever in my life today, while I was making one of several trips walking (hobbling) back and forth between museum properties today. It's only 3 blocks between the two places I was working today, but some bird still managed to find me and drop a stealth bomb. I didn't even realize it until I happened to look down and saw something on my shirt, assumed I'd spilled food or drooled somehow or something, wiped it away with my fingers...and realized it was bird poop. So that was a new experience for me!
