Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire, If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
· Be thankful when you don’t know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
· Be thankful for the difficult times, during those times you grow.
· Be thankful for your limitation, because they give you opportunities for improvement.
· Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.
· Be thankful for your mistakes, they will teach you valuable lessons.
· Be thankful when you’re tired and weary, because it means you’ve made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfilment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

    You're right, Karen. This came just at the right time. I was just hearing pretty much the same message from two other sources. So, I guess God wanted to make sure I heard it and it sunk in!

    It's a good reminder. I have a friend who suffered a stroke in March. She was lucky and it only affected her speech/language skills. She will probably have to retire from nursing but is seeing the bright side of all this. She was a terrific seamstress and baker before her stroke and is thinking about going into those fields should she be forced to quit nursing. She recently tried both sewing and baking and found she is still good at both. I saw your quote and thought of both you and my friend here. emoticon

    I think this a wonderful list of how to see something usually mourned as a negative thing happening in a positive way that can help us think positively about the whole situation emoticon

    Karen, this is a wonderful message. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. It's easy to forget what we have sometimes and we take a lot of things for granted. We have so many blessings and should try to remember them more often.

    This is SO true!! I never completely appreciated good health until I spent 4 years battling chronic fatigue syndrome. That ended 11 years ago but I have NEVER forgotten what a blessing good health is!!
