Boot camp off for a week

Saturday, May 18, 2013

Aw just when I was REALLY GETTING INTO IT....but its called a switch week and is essentially a weeks leave for our trainer to spend time with his growing family. But ultimately its a good thing for me because my family has gotten SICK SICK SICK. My poor old sister and husband are flat on their backs with flu proper, not just a rotten cold. Both have aching bodies, swinging temperatures and hacking coughs.
So far I have "escaped" with only slight body pains and temperatures...definitely fairing better than they are. That being said, I'm also taking care of them which means double house work, double feeding of dogs, dosing humans with chicken soup for sick people and keeping them hydrated. It's pointless their son coming through because he'd just get sick too and he has started up a brand new business and cannot afford to get sick at this stage if he can help it.
With his father down, hes already a team member down.

Anyway, both are dead asleep right now, so I have some time out.

My last weigh in for the currently weight loss challenge is this Monday ahead of me.
The new weight loss challenge (for the boat cruise prize) begins on Monday 27 May. I'm so excited and cant wait to begin.
Daily boot camp also begins on Monday 27 May...can't say I'm as excited...rather daunting feelings going on inside myself, but time will decide whether I'm being silly being nervous.

Bottom line is, I'm doing my best to shed my weight and be healthier before I become an old lady and no longer have time on my side.

My kids may say it's too late, Im already an old lady LOL
I CANNOT WAIT for the time when we are allowed to bring our families to boot camp, Im going to love seeing their faces when they realize just how hard it REALLY IS and knowing my sons tend to see me as invincible, having my sons girlfriend there, a youngster of 20 yrs old age and hearing her complain of aching body pains the following day will give them a real idea of what its all about. No walk in the park at all. Cole will fare the best because he works very hard on the rig gym during his time off....and being young and fit will count in his favor, can't say the same for Daniel (my eldest) or Justin (my hubby) or Nikki (the girlfriend).
Can you hear my evil cackle? emoticon

I let my boys try the "Insanity" fit test. Jacob was throwing up by the third exercise. Eric was doing better than that, but wasn't able to finish it. The next day he was almost in tears. The fit test is only 23 minutes. The real workouts for the first month are between 35 - 44 minutes. They now have an appreciation for how hard it is and amazed that their "old" mom can do it! lol

Love it when we can make our families recognize that WE can do it. Sorry everyone is sick. You do know why your case is so much milder, don't you? When you are eating healthy and exercising consistently, you build your immune system up and it can better fight those nasty bugs.
