There's only one thing I like about being sick: Not going to work.
Everything else stinks.

I'm so tired, and my throat is scratchy, and when I cough it feels like an icepick in my lungs. And experience tells me, the cough will be the last thing to go. I'll be hacking on my runs and in Spinning class and during badminton for weeks to come.

So I'm taking it easy today, trying to get better and keep the whole thing from getting worse. But it was a beautiful day outside, and I saw tons of people running when I went to Walgreen's to get some cough drops and medicine. I'm so bored! I want to work out really badly. I don't know if I'll be able to play badminton tomorrow night... I may run out of gas well before 6pm.

A marginal victory, though, was that even though I was in my house for two whole days, I ate well. I kept it within my calorie limits. Now if I can keep doing that for a few weeks, we'll be golden.
