Never Say Diet Day 2 of quotes

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

I have been reading the book Never Say Diet by Chantel Hobbs. It has helped me on my journey to lose weight.

Chapter 1
Focus on the person you want to be. "Set you sights very high, and keep your commitment level even higher."
"We gain weight through a series of poor choices made on a regular basis over a long period of time." ..."You achieve what you seek by learning to make the right choices and not being scared of self-sacrifice." Be the best you can be!!!!

Most of chapter 1 is about Chantel's story . It is very good and I encourage anyone reading this to check it out. Reading her story helped me realize that I don't have to stay the way I am. I can change and I need to change. I want to be the best I can be to honor God with my body. I still make mistakes and eat things I shouldn't occasionally, but I am working harder now than ever and making changes. Last night my husband wanted to go to McDonald's at 9:00 p.m. I knew I didn't need another meal and especially that late. I was hungry after a long day. I ended up having an English muffin and some fresh pineapple. A LOT less calories than I would have had if I went to McDonald's and much healthier too. These are the kind of decisions I must continue to make consistently to see the changes I look forward to making for my body.
I do want to be the best I can be, and who God wants me to be.
