It's a Winding Road, but a Learning One

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

I've been with SP almost 7 years now and still working at getting to my goal weight. Along the way though, I have had many learning experiences and the road I've been on kind of looks like the photo above - but I am grateful for every twist and turn that has happened along the way. Those are what have made me who I am today.

Life will bring us through many highs and lows (and figuratively speaking here - be it your weight, your family life, your relationships, financial matters, etc.) and it's how you handle those curves that are thrown your way that matter.

When I first started the journey, I guess I was taking a lower road - one that was not so positive - but today, I'm on the higher road to a new destination. With the daily practice and 'Attitude of Gratitude', I sense a shift ... a new resolve, passion and purpose to truly achieve the highest level of happiness I can get to.

Sure I still have my bad days and some slips... but I get back up and bounce right back into the driver's seat to push forward a lot faster, making my momentum that much stronger. I know that no matter what - if I stay positive, things will get better by simple fact of the Law of Attraction...

Just this morning I drew some angel cards (I have about 5 decks I read from - all from Doreen Virtue) and the overall message to me was to have patience and faith ... that my dreams were coming to fruition and soon will be blooming. I believe this with all my heart.

Sometimes it takes making a drastic change in our lives to get to this level of clarity and for me that time has come. I am committed to living this life, as a healthy individual (mind/body/spirit) - nourishing my body with the healthiest drinks/food that I can. I am going to treat my body as the temple it is and watch it heal and get stronger day by day. I am also going to keep it 'moving' and reduce my sedentary time, while increasing the frequency of my activity/exercise.

I've encountered many obstacles on the way and I've made mistakes, but I'm ready to keep stepping forward, to rise above it all ... I look forward to continuing the journey with all of you my SP Friends!
