Mothers Day Weekend Update

Monday, May 13, 2013

It's Monday once again. I keep trying to ignore it but it's just not letting me do that! So I'll get right to my Mothers Day weekend update emoticon . Sat we the same things we always do on Sat. We shopped for groceries, put gas in my Mustang, hit Starbucks, and Gamestop. The best part of all that was finding the Xbox game I'd been looking for...without paying $50-$100 for it. Some of you may remember when I had my Wii system, I wad doing EA Active 2 workouts. Well...when I dumped my Wii for my Xbox, I got rid of the EA Active 2 game. I got the Your Shape Fitness game for my Xbox. But I had decide I wanted to do both. So I've been on quest, if you will, to find EA Active 2 for the Xbox. Ebay has them but WOW...they would bid out at between $50 and $100 bucks, even for used ones emoticon . And I couldn't find any locally. I had just about given up on the whole thing, when low and behold...we stopped at the BX on base, and the I asked at the Gamestop there. They didn't have it, but he looked it up in their system and found 3. One was at a Gamestop right next to the Starbucks we go to every weekend! Like a mile from our house! And it was ONLY $12.99!! SCORE!!!! emoticon Hubby and ran over there and I picked it up. It had the game disk, the HRM, and weight glove. We took it home and after putting the food away, we set it up. It works great! So I plan to start the 3 week workout thing tonight. emoticon

Sunday (Mothers Day) I ended up doing yard work with hubby for half the day and then house work the other half.

At one point, I went to get us some bottles of water, and noticed the Fed EX guy walking up to our door. He rang the bell, handed me a long package and wished me a Happy Mothers Day. It was box from 1-800-Flowers. I took it out to the back yard, wondering if hubby had gotten them for me. But he said no. I opened them, there were Lilies, a vase, a small box of chocolates, some bath stuff (salts, body wash, etc), and a card. They were from Karry, Nick, and the kids. I stood there crying as I read the card out loud. It just so moved me that they would send me flowers! Jason had called me earlier, I have the best kids in the world! The lilies are staring to bloom!

Then hubby cooked (BBQ'ed) dinner for me. Steak and lobster tails. He was so sweet and so special! He's a keeper for sure! I love him so much! (The round foil thing is an onion with butter)

We talked to both of our moms and hubby texted his daughter a Happy Mothers Day. I talked to Karry and Jason when they called me. So it was very good Mothers Day for me!

Weekends are my downfall, but this one was OK. I gained about a pound from Friday, maybe a pound and half. But I'm sure it was water. So I'm really happy with myself over how I ate this past weekend. And today was good, so far, there too. I also did 57 mins on the elliptical in the gym at lunch. I think I'm on a roll here! emoticon

Well that's going to do it for me today. I hope everyone had a great Mothers Day out there!

The flowers are beautiful. Btw, Amy's son Randy works at that Starbucks, I'm pretty sure that's the one. You might ask next time you're there. Randy Miller. (Well celebrated MD by having the transmission go out on the car. We are so scr*wed...) Hugs, Calen~
