Sweatin' To The Oldies

Monday, May 13, 2013

Yes. The Richard Simmons kind of sweatin!! I found my old set of Sweatin DVDs, popped one in and completed an hour of exercise. It was HILARIOUS! Richard is a character to say the least but the other people, who I give props to since they lost a bunch of weight, were even more entertaining. This was made in the 80's/90s and the outfits were simple amazing. I saw mullets, scrunchies, multiple pairs of red high top Reebok, hammer pants in an array of patterns, mini shorts on men, spandex shorts under jean shorts (who wears denim to workout?!?), ladies wearing 2-3 socks bunched on each foot ( I so did that back in the day!) and of course Richard in his way too short shorts. LOL It was awesome. The music was good and I was just dancing around the house which is always fun! I am not going to make this a daily thing but it is definitely a good workout and is fun to watch! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Just have to say I just picked up that video (VHS ha ha!!) at a Tag Sale and my daughter said: really Mom? but I thought hey, this might be a good workout and funny as well.... thought it might make the workout a little less like a job. so thanks for the mini review... now I really have to try it!! emoticon emoticon
