Getting back to Healthy

Well, I stepped on the scale not to long ago and the weight is right back up to what it was last year in July and I realized I was exercising for a goal, my Disney Trip, and not for life. I wasn't eating healthy or working out because I wanted to be healthy and feel good about my looks but to only lose weight. My sole focus was on the 70 lbs I wanted to lose....not to be a overall healthy person. I never looked beyond the weight loss, I never thought about what comes after. In order to keep the weight off as I get older I have to start changing my outlook on eating and exercise. I have to start thinking of the whole picture and not just 70 lbs. I have to change my outlook on eating and exercising in general. To be a healthier person and to focus on that will cause the weight to fall off as a direct result of daily exercise and good nutrition. I have already started baby steps in that direction. I fast walked on my treadmill for 30 minutes three times last week. I have diminished my intake of ice cream and sweets. I tried quinoa for the first time and while I thought it smelled nutty it tasted a bit like lettuce for some reason. I'll start back with my Trainer (only have 10 more sessions) and I'll start going to the gym. Baby steps with a goal in mind that only includes me eating and exercising to be a overall healthier person. That will be my new goal.
