Intro/Vlog Explanation/General Statement of Hope

Having decided it was time to get off my duff and do something about how unfit and uncomfortable I had become, I hit the interwebs. Here are things I already knew about myself:
- I am not, nor have I ever been "fit"
- I am TERRIBLE at consistently hitting the gym
- I am easily intimidated/embarrassed/defeat
ed in an athletic setting
- I live in Wisconsin, so running outside is not a year-round option
- Dessert is my favorite thing ever
So what's a girl to do? About a zillion youtube videos and DVD reviews later, I decided DVD's were the answer. It's a lot less time commitment than the gym (no travel time = less time overall), it's private and therefore WAY less embarrassing, and I can turn on the DVD and get started before I can talk myself out of it. Bingo.
I've decided to start with the cult classic workout DVD Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. After I've (hopefully) completed it, I'm moving on to her 90-day, Body Revolution series. I'd like to welcome anyone and everyone to follow along with me! I just finished day two today (and, OW), so I'll be completing the DVD June 10th.
And now, on to the title of my page, Monday Morning Fitness. Monday mornings are the WORST. For me, at least, it's been the hardest day to get up and exercise. SO, I'm going to be creating a video blog, with entries uploaded every Monday morning by 7:00 a.m. Wake up with me! Follow along with my DVD regimen, or just keep in touch and let me know what you're doing in your journey. The videos will be consistently uploaded, and I promise to keep them to 5 minutes or less, so you and I can both get on with our workouts.
This Monday morning will be my first video (5/13), and I'll be giving an update on my 30 Day Shred progress. It's only day two, and Jill's been kicking my ass, so hopefully things will get a little easier by then!
