I Beat the Cookie Yesterday

Saturday, May 11, 2013

Thanks for all the encouragement and fantastic ideas. I simply said " Don't bring me a cookie I'm trying to lay off them for awhile." She is an awesome friend and supportive of my wellness goals.

I am still struggling to stick to my eating plan. I need to weigh and measure more, stick to the guidelines and quit snacking and nibbling. My progress is tediously slow because I am an excellent maintainer but the losing part of my journey is problematic.

The problem being me.

Never give up. Keep defining and refining what it is you're striving for.

Spark on.

You can do what you want to do. You can be who you want to be. Thoreau

Stair counter: ( 5 workouts) 300 flights, 4200 stairs = 12 more workouts to meet 1000 flight goal

I knew you could ot it!!! And it's great that your friend is supportive. Keep up the stairs - you are doing so great. I will say I know what you mean about better tracking. I've been doing great on the exercise front but my food tracking has been horrendous. I've been maintaining things well but not moving down, which is really frustrating. I'm just struggling with food in general. Seems I can't find things that I enjoy eating except those things I shouldn't. I'm hoping a good summer and more fresh food choices will motivate me....we can do this....we can do this....we can do this....just like the little engine!

Again, I can relate to this, too - I'm good at maintaining and its harder to get it off. Now, though, it IS coming off - slowly but surely.

Identifying your weak spots is the first step to correcting them and moving forward. You're doing well, and your attitude is great! (Tracking food and staying in your calorie range is one of the keys!)

You will be SO thankful to be an excellent maintainer when you reach your goal and go into maintenance mode! In the meantime, going down and maintaining is a small slice of maintenance practice before you get all the way to goal.

Your stair challenge will make a difference, too. Are you seeing a change in the way your pants fit?

Great going, Patti. I like to hear your updates.
