back in time

Saturday, May 11, 2013

last week I went on an excursion with some of the ladies and their guys to a dinner and show combo (the waiters and waitresses also performed, when not serving the meal). the show was Blue eyes and centered around the Rat Pack and a few others of the same time frame. The lighting wasn't good so the photos are all over the place because of the lighting.

our tables were reserved in our chapter name and we took up three tables

we had a great view of the stage

the meal consisted of dinner rolls and butter, dinner salad, and your choice of entree of chicken steak or salmon I went for the steak

and dessert was flower and flower pott (crushed oreos over ice cream)

so let's go back in time, sometimes there were photos of the singer we were to see portrayed by the servers, who did a good job

starting with Louis Prima and Keely Smith (this was out waiter)

then some Sammy Davis Jr

then we moved on to Dean Martin look how young he was in the first pic, and then with Frank and Jerry Lewis

and Frank Sinatra was represented

and ELVIS was in the building

and flora dora girls

and Judy Garland

who got upstaged by Liberace

then Sammy came back and sang The Candyman

with a little dancing assistance

next up was Tony Bennett

Nancy Sinatra and These Boots Are Made For Walking

and the glamorous Marilyn Monroe

then the rat pack visited the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and the gals gave out drinks you see Dino got the largest martini

the pack talked Johnny into doing is Karnac routine with the envelopes, boy did that bring back fond memories

singing dancing jokes it had it all
