Started tracking...

Friday, May 10, 2013

I hate tracking my food. I feel like I spend the whole day thinking about what I'm eating. Ugh. But I was gaining weight, not loosing, so clearly I can not be left to my own devices. So I started tracking yesterday. Didn't do that bad except for sesame sticks. Oh those things should be illegal they are so good! The important lessons I was reminded of by them: 1. look at serving sizes and nutritional information BEFORE eating. Duh. Because looking after the deed is done is just more of an oh crap moment. 2. dont buy sesame sticks. lol

Has anyone tried banana ice cream? Like you just take frozen bananas and blend them and that's it. I have bananas in the freezer waiting to be mushed. I'm hopeful! I love ice cream!

I used to hate tracking food, but now it is my favourite part of Spark. It goes really quick once you have your favourites and groups set up.
It is the key to success. Studies by Spark shows that people who track are 80% more likely to succeed.
    Have fun tracking!

Just an FYI....I heard rave reviews about the banana ice cream. You were suppose to be able to freeze them then add any flavor or fresh fruit that you want and it was suppose to taste like that flavor. I don't remember what I added, maybe just vanilla extract. #1 it didn't come out smooth and creamy like they said, #2 it made a very small serving ( I think you get more for less calories if you just buy light ice cream or frozen yogurt, #3 it still just tasted like banana ice cream to me (which is good if you are a fan of banana ice cream but I am not emoticon ) Won't be making that again.
Yes, tracking is good! It is time consuming and annoying, but it is the only thing that keeps me accountable and on track until I can do this in my sleep (which may be never)
Sorry, not a very uplifting message, but better days are coming!! Keep Sparking! emoticon emoticon
