40 Days and Gaining Great Things

Friday, May 10, 2013

Today is my 40th day of Sparking. I've lost some pounds, traded some fat for muscle, lost an inch around my waist, increased my energy, improved my attitude, gotten better sleep, and made some new friends.

I came here to LOSE, but I found that I have GAINED far more than I've lost. I've gained all kinds of positives in my life.

I am thankful for Sparkpeople. I am thankful for you for reading this post just so you can encourage me along my way. You are my blessing. Thank you.

You truly have the best attitude to lose weight. I believe having a positive outlook makes your immune system work better, helps to fuel your exercise and pushes you to make better food choices. I go much faster and more efficient in my routine when I am happy.

Thanks for the Spark Goodie! I was just thinking about my own body composition this morning as I tried on new clothes. I have been an exercise nut for many yeats and found it hard to include a greater amount of resistance training. The cardio gives me more endorphins and a feeling of euphoria. Im an attempt to change this I bought a years worth of personal training at my local gym hoping they would convert me to do more strength training. Unfortunately they had so many clients they could bardly keep up with my profile so that was a total waste. I found SP last August and learned how to get a trade off between the two. My thunder thighs have almost disappeared and I am much more solid with have perfect measurements. This has taken a long time. I wasted many years, but I finally did it and you will too! Don't give up as it takes a long time. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
