OIL AND WATER
When we worry, who are we worshiping? We can’t be worshiping God because He removes our worry and our doubts. If we aren’t worshiping God, what is it that is on our minds keeping us from doing so? Worry and worship are like oil and water. They don’t mix well. If our minds are full of doubt and worry, then we are more concerned about the things of the world rather than giving our all to God because when we give our all to God, worry disappears. He is the Master of Creation, the Prince of Peace, the Kings of kings so it is evident He is able to remove our doubts and worries if we will only go to Him. He understands and knows all things.
Isaiah 40:28 “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, help us today to focus on You, to worship You in all we do. When we have worries or doubts we are worshiping the things of the world. We are consumed with situations in our lives that we don’t know the outcome. Help us today to forget about the “what If’s” and focus on the “Who is” and that is You. You are our Creator, our Master, our Lord. Thank You for taking away our worry so we can worship You and focus on doing Your will today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Worshiping God is about removing things from our minds and allowing Him to live in us.
We can’t worship God if our hearts and minds are full of doubt and worry.
Worry and worship are like oil and water. They don’t mix well. So we have to choose.
God is able to help us to defeat all doubt and worry. He will help us to defeat the enemy if we are faithful to Him.
Revelation 17:14 “Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.” (NLT)
Isaiah 9:6 “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (NLT)
