I can say I am doing well. A lot better than I was when I went MIA from sparkpeople, and started gaining weight like crazy. That was a horrible feeling being too scared to come back and face what I did. I want you all to know, no matter how many times you stray, its never worth staying away, always come back..
Tracking my food intake has done wonders itself. It shows me I don't have to eat or mindlessly snack when i see that I have had plenty of calories, and I can't be starving... although it can trick me. I get plenty of calories in a day, I haven't gotten so perfect with my routine that I have started cutting calories yet, I am making sure that i just don't go haywire.
Walking to my Daughters school has been a great start, and I try to do it often now that spring has sprung, at least when I am not super busy. Other than that, we go to parks, or I always have my treadmill to work out with and a few other things.
I always have to clean the house even when I don't feel like it, (BLAH), it has a surprising effect on how well I do with eating healthy and staying motivated.
I wish I had an iphone or smartphone, ONLY for the sparkpeople app! LOL, other than that I will just keep my old, beat up, paint missing, flip phone. Im not into too many materialistic things =).
My kids are growing fast, so it means more to learn how to stay healthy, and teach them. My 4 year old loves salads, she steals veggies in the grocery store!, etc. she is just like me. I am so happy she eats healthy, and I will keep that up if I can.
I havent weighed myself just yet. after another week of eating healthy I will see if I made any progress. I dont need to deter myself, its a lifelong goal to be healthy right, so whats the rush?
I say it every blog just about, but I appreciate all of my sparkfriends. I am very happy to be here watching all of your journeys, good and bad.
